Halloween!

Hey there.  So today is Halloween!  It also happens to be my favorite holiday, though I don't really know why.  I just really love all of the candles/scents associated with it and the smell of the leaves and outside; it gives me reassurance that fall is actually here.
I was always intrigued at the fact that it was named after remembering the dead.  But after some research, I began thinking, how did people start celebrating like we do on Halloween?  I mean, yeah, I know that this holiday has been around for 2,000 years, so I know that people have adapted to the holiday, but if the day is meant to celebrate the dead, why don't we do that?
Enough about that, I want to say, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!  Go watch scary movies, and eat all the  junk food that your heart can take.  Scare your neighbors, and enjoy haunted houses.

      Until next time!
