Methodical

"I think music in itself is healing.  It's an explosive expression of humanity.  It's something we are all touched by.  No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music." (Billy Joel)

There are many different kinds of music.  There also different kinds of artists.  Music has always been a huge part of cultures.  As there are many genres of music, there are many emotions given off that genre.  Emotion and influence are a major part of music, as it can inspire others with methodical lyrics.  People can do so many things with music.  They can enjoy music, they can dance to music, they can sing to music, they can even fall in love to music.  Music can install happiness, inspiration, entertainment, and emotion.

I believe that music is a type of therapy.  It allows us to work through our problems, it helps us feel.  It fills us with excitement, as we wait for our favorite band's next album; it fills us with joy when we listen to our favorite song.  The people that put out music, share the same love for music.  They enjoy making music just the same as we love listening to music; it makes them happy.  As music has been around for fifty-five thousand years, is was expected to become a part of our daily lives.

We all have our favorite genre of music.  We all will fight to the death defending our favorite band.  There are times that we are judged on our taste of music based on our personality, but actually, personality has little to do with taste in music.  Yes, it can reflect on parts of the person you are, but music taste is all about how the music makes you feel.  Someone could have the brightest personality, but they could listen to metal music.  Someone could wear all black and have tattoos and piercings and could listen to hip-hop music.  We shouldn't judge others on the music that inspires them, when we also have music that inspires us.

So, to summarize, music is cheap therapy that does more than empty our pockets; it fills our hearts.
